This year you celebrated your first thanksgiving with us! You loved the food and getting to play with the Powell boys! They are so sweet and loving towards you. We are very blessed to have the Powell's in our lives.

10 Months Old
Aliyana,
This Month has flown by.. We have had some hard times baby girl. We lost our beloved Jazz. He was sick and tired so we went night-night one last time. But I am so glad you were able to meet him and him you. Jazz came into our lives after we lost our beloved Chacho. He was what we considered our rainbow baby. He brought back joy into our home before you came along. He was with me through out my whole pregnancy and after I had you. He would be up at all hours of the night with us when we first brought you home. Stella was always in her bed dead asleep but Jazz was up with me. Even bottle even diaper change. He would bring you his stuffed animal when you wouldn't stop crying and come and become anxious if he thought something was wrong with you. He loved sharing the baby role with you.
This month has also brought a few sick times. You got two ear infections and then a UTI. Daddy got the shingles so we were afraid that you would get the chicken pox. Insert here a crazy day when thought you had the chicken pox. But thank goodness it was just an allergy.
Grandma got you this amazing little walker. You are still trying to get the hang of it. But once you realize this is a great method of transportation you will be everywhere and anywhere.

You have found out that you are able to get your way when you throw tantrums and that 8 times out 10 will be giving in. You have not slept through the whole night in about a month. With all of your congestion and allergies its been hard.
Grandma got you this amazing little walker. You are still trying to get the hang of it. But once you realize this is a great method of transportation you will be everywhere and anywhere.
This month you were able to hang out with your Cousin Madelyn. They are going to be trouble in years to come. But Madelyn was such a sweet heart with her little cousin. Can't wait to see these two girls grow up together.
Aliyana we are still crazy about you. I catch myself racing after getting out of work to pick you up from daycare. My day could have been sour but the moment I see you and hold you in my arm every pain and unsavory moment just vanishes. I can't believe its been 10 months like I always say the time just flies by. You have a sweet heart. You are starting to recognize the people you see on a daily bases. You smile at a sweet tone voice but you won't smile after you wake up from a nap. lol.
Happy 10 months baby girl! We're almost at a year old

Last week we took a girls trip out to San Diego!
Your first time in California! You traveled like you have done this tons of times. We walked around San Diego. You slept for half of it. I knew going into this .. this trip would be more for me and grandma than for you. But you still had fun

. We went to the aquarium next to Lego Land and then went to the beach. We took a stroll around the San Diego zoo and even went to see the sea lions resting on the rocks in La Jolla. Your relationship with grandma grew. I know she loved waking up to you and holding you more. The busy life at home sometimes does not let us get together as much as we would like. You continue to teach me to slow down and take in day by day. You astonish me how you are picking up so much knowledge. You are a very smart little girl and I want to give you the world.
Your crazy hair is like it always is crazy ! But it is growing longer and longer. As I look back at your earlier pictures you look bald compared to all the hair you have now. You embrace the craziness. Thank you for all the craziness and the amount of love you have shown me that I had inside me. Can't wait to see what next month has in store for us !

Aliyana .. you are 2/3 of a year old!
Aliyana - 8 Month's Old
Dear Aliyana,
Today you turn 8 month's old. I really don't know where the time has gone. Last night as we were having bath time together, I was brought back to when I had you in my belly. How I wonder what you would look like, how you would act, if you would be sweet or stubborn, If I would be a great mommy, if you would look like me or daddy. I would pray you would be as honest and loyal as your daddy, I prayed you would be as healthy as can be and how I would give my life for you. This time last year Daddy and I found out that you were going to be a little girl. Before knowing exactly I was so anxious. I was scared of having a little girl because I knew I would want to buy you the world. I didn't even want to step foot in the little girls aisle because I would go insane buying the whole store. And then I found out! And well you know how it goes. Mommy buys you EVERYTHING! Daddy tells mommy she is a shop-a-holic. Mommy regrets nothing after she sees your smile. You have taken over my life. You are the reason I wake up at 3 am with a smile, I love holding you on my chest. You are now more aware of your surroundings. You smile every time you see me or your daddy. You have started daycare and you still don't know how to feel about it. You like the fact that there are other kids and toys but you still want to be at home with mommy and daddy. Everyone you come in contact with falls in love with you because of your sweet endearing demeanor your smile lights up the room. You are my little angel! You love swim class.. you are the youngest one in the class but you are the most active and engaged one there. You love your puppies and they love you! Stella has become more engaged with you instead of just checking up on you when we get home or you are sleeping in your momma roO ! Jazz loves when you are in your high chair because every now and then you throw food on the floor. He can't wait until you can eat meats and pasta. He will love you more! You are now wanting to crawl. Right now you have the backing up thing down just the moving forward part is missing. Don't worry baby girl you are a very determine little girl. You will get it soon! Ali can't wait to see what adventures you have in store for us next month.
